Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 KitKat 4.4.2 update OTA

Verizon variant of Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 will soon receive Android KitKat 4.4.2 update. Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 KitKat 4.4.2 update will bump the existing firmware build version to P905VVRUANE4.

The new KitKat update will bring with it various new features and enhancements. Various issues including bug fixes on Calendar, stability for Science and Technology Content on Home Screen Widget, security fixes have been improved.

Many widgets have either been changed or removed such as Google Search (3×1) have been removed while many other widgets such as Samsung WatchOn (4×3), Drive scan (1×1), Hancom Office (4×3) have been added.

Several apps including Verizon Cloud, MyVerizon, VZ Navigator, Amazon Kindle, Amazon Widget, Amazon Appstore, Amazon Audible, Amazon IMDb, Amazon MP3 and Amazon Shopping have been updated along with their respective widgets. So you might have to deal with loads of bloatwares after updating your firmware.

The Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 KitKat 4.4.2 update also add support for local wipe options for all lock methods including password, PIN, pattern and biometrics, and allow data erase of external SD card via Factory reset by auto/remote wipe.

Since this update will be provided in form of an OTA (Over-The-Air) update, it will be released in gradual steps, which means that not all users will receive the update at once. When your device is ready for receiving the P905VVRUANE4 update, then you will receive an official OTA update notification on your device’s notification screen.

If you don’t want to wait for the update notification to arrive automatically then you can check whether an update is ready for your device manually. To check for the update manually, go to Settings > About tablet > Software updates > Check for updates. If an update is ready for your device, you will receive the OTA update notification.

To install the update on your device, just tap on the notification screen and follow the onscreen instructions. When the download is complete, select install now.

Before installing the update, we must remind you that you must have more than 80% battery backup and a strong Verizon Wireless or a stable Wi-Fi connection.
