Sprint has begun out rolling a new firmware update for its LG G Flex device, Sprint LG G Flex Firmware Update LGLSZV7 Introduces Wi-Fi Calling along with many bug fixes and enhanced security.
The firmware build version for this update is LGLSZV7. One of the biggest feature that this update brings is the ability to make voice calls via Wi-Fi connection. Along with this update, HD Voice Icon and an updated email signature has also been added. This latest update for LG G Flex also includes a Google patch to fix bugs related to SMS and overall security.
Since the update will be rolled out as an OTA (Over-The-Air) update, the update will be rolled out in stages. The Sprint LG G Flex Firmware Update LGLSZV7 will be completely rolled out until 16th July and until then all the LG G Flex users should have received the update.
You should keep in mind that the update will only arrive on your device, if you have a stock ROM and if you have a custom ROM on your device then you will first have to revert to stock Android OS.
Once the update is ready for your device, you will receive an official OTA update notification on your device’s notification screen. To install the update, just click on the notification and follow the onscreen prompts.
If you haven’t still received the update notification on your screen then you have another option to check for the update manually. To check for the update manually, go to Settings > System updates > Update LG software > Check now. If an update is available, you will receive an official OTA update notification.
Before installing the update make sure that you have more than 80% battery backup and a stable internet connection.
