At long last Sony Xperia Tablet Z Wi-Fi is receiving Kitkat 4.2.2 update. It is the last model of Sony Xperia Z series to receive this update and users have waited for a really long time. The firmware build version for this update is 10.5.A.0.230. Although the Kitkat 4.4.2 update has just been rolled out in France and O2 UK but it won’t be long since this update is available for all other regions.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z Wi-Fi Kitkat 4.4.2 update is being provided via Sony PC Companion. Users can also use update center on their device to check for the update. This firmware 10.5.A.0.230 is also running on other Xperia Z series such as Xperia Tablet Z LTE, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Z devices.

To update your device using System updates, using Wi-fi connection for data download is recommended since it more reliable and you can avoid data traffic. To access this menu go to Settings > About tablet > Software updates > System updates.
