Sony has rolled out another OTA update for its Xperia M devices. This new firmware has build version 15.4.A.1.9 and is the second Jelly Bean (4.3) update released for the Xperia M (C190X) devices.
This new firmware update will be available in form of OTA (Over-The-Air) update. Since an OTA update is released in gradual steps, the update will be rolled out to phases which means that not all the users will receive this update at once.
Since the software updates are released at different times depending on operator and/or country. Thus, there isn’t an exact date about when a specific update will be available for your device.
When an update is available for your device, you will receive an official OTA notification message on your device’s notification screen. You just need to tap on this notification and follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the update.
If you want to check manually if an update is available for your device, go to Settings > About phone > Software updates > System updates.
If an update is available for your device, it is recommended to have a stable WiFi connection to download the Jelly Bean (4.3) update. Also before installing this update make sure to have more than 80% battery level.
