Just a day after Sony released Jelly Bean 4.3 update for Xperia M (C190X) series, Sony Xperia M dual Jelly Bean update for it’s dual SIM (C200X) variant has also been released . This is the second update for Jelly Bean that has been released for this device. The firmware build version for this update is 15.5.A.1.5.
According to the official Sony Xperia M dual software update, this update brings many improvements. This update brings an enhanced user experience, improved battery life and various software performance improvements.
According to the official website, to update your device wirelessly, you must have the latest version of Update Centre application. To get the latest Update Center, go to Update Centre > Updates and install the latest available update. After installing the latest Update Center, you are eligible to get this Jelly Bean update.
This update will be available in form of an OTA (Over-The-Air) and once an update is available for your Sony Xperia M dual SIM device, you will receive an official OTA update notification on your device’s notification screen. Just tap on this notification and follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the latest 15.5.A.1.5 firmware. It’s highly recommended to install this update over a stable WiFi connection.
As OTA updates are released in gradual steps, not all users will receive this update at once. Thus, it might be while until an update is available for your device.
To check for an update manually, go to Settings > About phone > Software updates > System updates. If an update is available, you will receive the update notification message.
You can always check if you are running on the latest firmware version by going to Settings > About phone > Build number / version. If the version shown in this menu is not 15.5.A.1.5 then you are running on an older version.
