Google has just launched Nexus 4 KitKat 4.4.3 update. Download link for this OTA (Over-The-Air) update is provided in the post which can be used with ADB sideloading, if you haven’t received this update yet.
As with other KitKat 4.4.3 updates that are recently released, this KTU84L KitKat 4.4.3 for Nexus 4 device update doesn’t bring any new features. The main focus of this update is to release bug fixes and provide enhancement patches. This update provides a better and smooth UI and increase the overall system stability. This update comes with a new Dialer application that has a card based user interface which prioritize contacts on the basis of how often we use them. New color themes are also launched for this particular app.
As this is an OTA update, the update will be released in gradual steps. This means that not all Nexus 4 users will receive KitKat 4.4.3 update at once. Since we already provide you with a download link, you need not worry about it.
If you received a OTA notification update automatically, then just tap on the update and follow the onscreen prompts. Your device will automatically download and install the update automatically. If you haven’t received the notification update yet, you can check for the update manually. To check for update manually go to Settings > System update menu.
Since not all users will get the KitKat 4.4.3 at once, you might want to install this update manually instead of waiting for a couple of weeks. Although, this method is very safe but still we recommend only those users to follow manual method, who know what they are doing.
Unfortunately, this new KTU84L firmware cannot be installed on firmware older than KOT49H. Go to Settings > About Phone, under Build Number check that you are indeed running on KOT49H firmware.
After downloading the OTA zip file, you can manually install the firmware either via ADB sideloading or using custom recoveries.
If you have installed this firmware, whether automatically or manually, please share your reviews with us.
