Just three days after updates were released for Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 2013 devices, Nexus 10 KitKat 4.4.3 update is now available. This update is available through OTA (Over-The-Air).
The new KitKat 4.4.3 OTA update has build number KTU84L . As you might know that KitKat 4.4.3 update doesn’t bring any new features, just some bug fixes and enhancements. Its main focus is to add stability and performance enhancements. Although, this update brought some UI changes to the new phone dialer app which adds a card based interface that sort contacts on the basis of how often you use them. New color schemes, specially for this app are also introduced.
As with all other OTA’s, this update will be released in gradual steps so you might have to wait a little longer until the update arrives for your phone. If the update is available for your device, then you will receive a OTA update notification message on device’s notification bar. Just tap on this message and follow onscreen prompts to download and install updates.
In case you didn’t receive update notification automatically, you can always manually check whether the update is available in for your device. To check for update notification manually, go to Settings > About tablet > System updates > Check now.
For those users who haven’t received the Nexus 10 Android 4.4.3 KTU84L OTA update yet and don’t want to wait a couple of weeks to try this update, you can install the Nexus 10 KitKat 4.4.3 update manually.
For this method your device must have a custom recovery such as ClockWorkMod, TWRP, etc. installed or you can install a custom recovery now. Next you need to download KTU84L-from-KOT49H.dacffc0e.zip and install this zip like you install any other zips on your device using custom recoveries.
