HTC commits to release Android L for HTC One M8 and M7 within 90 days of final release

Android L is the latest Android Operation System that was unveiled by Google in this year’s I/O. HTC commits to release Android L for HTC One M8 and M7 within 90 days of final release, which will make HTC users very happy.

The Android L is currently available as a developer’s preview version and will probably get a name of Lollipop. Android L has a new distinct feature called Material Design, which makes the buttons and menus have a three dimensional look using the shadows that are generated in a real time and the elevation effects. Our approach will be the same with the Android L release from Google. This release promises to bring new features and tools to Android and we are excited to bring it to you and your HTC. As part of our HTC Advantage commitment globally, we pledge to update all of our HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7) smartphones within 90 days of receiving final software from Google.

Also according to the official blog, Google hasn’t yet provided the official software to OEMs or Chipset providers till now. Thus, they will begin working on the final release once they get a final version from Google. Although, the actual release of the software might depend on the device, region and carrier.
