AT&T is planning to release KitKat 4.4.2 update for LG G2 (D800) real soon. This AT&T LG G2 KitKat 4.4.2 update will bump the software version to D80020u.
According to the official website, this update for LG G2 is effective from 11th of this month and will be available via FOTA(Firmware Over-The-Air). The official announcement also suggests that this update includes Knock Code and Calendar/ Exchange Active Sync (EAS) enhancements.
This Knock Code provides an update to the Knock On tap-to-wake security feature, which provides you with more than 80,000 combinations by which you can unlock your phone, with a minimum 2 to maximum 8 taps custom patterns anywhere on the screen.
All the KitKat 4.4.2 perks such as transparent status and nav bars, color emoji support, immersive mode, white status bar icons, cloud printing or new Location Menu were already provided to the users with firmware build number D80020c.

As you can see, the download size depends on which firmware version you are currently on. All the updates will be provided or WiFi connection.
Since the update is provided as FOTA, it will not be available for all region and all users at once. This update will be released in gradual steps and it might be a couple of days until you receive the LG G2 Android 4.4.2 update. Once an update is available in for your device, you will receive an official update notification on your device’s notification screen. Just tap on this notification and follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the update.

Official website suggests that this update won’t affect your personal data but still recommends to make a backup either on PC or via AT&T apps (AT&T Mobile Transfer, AT&T Locker or AT&T Address Book).
