Last week, Motorola made an announcement via twitter that it they have started rolling out official update for the Moto E, Moto G and Moto X devices in India and you must expect an update notification in the next few days.

This update isn’t presented to bring new features or UI enhancements. The Android KitKat 4.4.4 update bring primarily focuses on bring stability and security fixes. Among other major security fixes, OpenSSL bug fix is the most important security fix in this update.
The update will be released as an OTA (Over-The-Air) update, thus not all the users will receive the update at same time. The update size will range from 50Mb to 70Mb, depending on the type of Moto device.
Since this update is presented in form of an OTA, it will appear on your device as an OTA update notification. When you see the notification, just tap on the notification and follow the onscreen instructions.
However, you can always check for the update manually. To check for the update manually, go to Settings > About phone > Software update. If an update is available for your device then you will get an OTA update notification message, just tap on the notification and follow the onscreen prompts.
Before installing this update, make sure that you have enough battery level on your device and you using a stable Wi-Fi connection for downloading the OTA update.
