HTC is probably one of the most laziest manufacturer when it comes to update their devices to the latest Android firmware versions. HTC is usually last in releasing the latest firmware updates for their devices. But it seems like HTC has learned from other manufacturers such as Samsung which is usually the first in releasing the latest firmware for its devices. HTC confirms Android 5.0 Lollipop on HTC One Mini device in tweet reply to a customer.
A customer tweeted HTC and enquired the manufacturer if they are going to release Android 5.0 Lollipop update for 2013 edition of HTC One Mini. HTC tweeted back that Android 5.0 Lollipop will be released for HTC One Mini 2013 edition, however they didn’t give any official release date. Entire twitter conversation can be seen below :-

As earlier said, HTC hasn’t provided any assurance on when it will actually release the Android 5.0 Lollipop for HTC One Mini 2013 edition. Since Google has released Android 5.0 Lollipop today, we expect that manufacturers like HTC will start releasing firmware for their device within couple of months from today. Since this update is pretty huge and many manufacturers like HTC likes to skin the user interface of the Android OS according to their propriety interfaces such as HTC Sense of HTC, Touchwiz UI of Samsung, etc.
We already have a first glimpse of what Samsung is planning with its TouchWiz UI, in their latest leak. However, it will be interesting to see what UI changes HTC will do in their latest Sense UI. Anyhow, we will have to wait and see when HTC releases the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its 2013/2014 devices.
What’s your take on the new about HTC’s Confirmation on Android 5.0 Lollipop release on HTC One Mini?
