Note:- This tutorial applies to all Touchscreen android phone like Samsung, HTC and any other android making companies with touchscreen interface.
Android Bricking is a common but very unpleasant phenomenon. Bricking mostly happens due to failures during the Android Upgradation like power failure, software fault, disconnection etc. Now once a android phone is bricked is of no use and once it is out of warranty you cannot do much.
Previously there was no way of recovering from the bricking but not anymore. Today i will tell you a easy way to unbrick android phone. If you follow the tutorial properly then there are 100% chance of recovering your phone.
I have found three methods till now to unbrick android phone. But before trying to unbrick android phone we have to find the Odin Multi downloader version compatible with your android phone.
- If your manufacture is Samsung that is you have Samsung Android phone then visit this link Click here. This page has all the Odin version for Samsung Android Phone along with the models they are compatible with. Download the version with whom your phone is compatible
- If your Manufacturer is not Samsung or Your Samsung model is not listed then visit this page and download all the Odin versions shown (Each Odin version size is less than 170 kb). Try Odin version 4.42 first and check for compatibility for your phone. If incompatible then try the lower versions.
To find if your Phone is compatible with Odin Multi downloader version that you have downloaded follow these instructions :-
- Firstly Run the Odin multi downloader on your PC.
- Then power off your android phone and then boot your android phone in download mode by pressing Volume Down + Home + Power button simultaneously.
- Now when your phone starts in the download mode connect it to the PC with USB cable.
- Now ODIN will display Connected.
If the Odin says connected then your android phone will be unbricked 100%, if not try other Odin version and follow the above steps until the Odin does not display Connected. Try Odin v4.42 first if not successful then try lower versions until you get Connected message in Odin.
Now once you have successfully found out the Odin Multi downloader compatible with your android phone we can proceed further. I have found out Three methods to unbrick android phone:-
1. Method 1:- Unbrick Android Phone Using Odin Downloader v1.7, v1.81 and v1.82.
2. Method 2:- Unbrick Android Phone Using Odin Downloader v3.98 and higher.
4. Method 4:- One click method (basically works with Samsung Phone but may also work on other manufacturers, please give it a try).
Try above methods one of them should work for you.

Hi Rohan!
I have Samsung Galaxy K (M130K), its a korean phone. I tried to flash Gingerbread 2.3.4 with 2.3.6, but once Odin decleared operations as Pass and new firmware was copied… phone went into re-boot and then never woke up.
I tried all sort of combos but i can’t get into download mode, neither into recovery mode, its completely dead. nothing appear on the screen!
Please help!
Is any boot screen or startup audio comming from the phone? May be your phone’s hardware has gone bad. Just give your phone to customer care. Don’t tell them that it bricked during an upgrade let them decide on their own if the hardware is faulty.
If the hardware is faulty then there is little i can do but if they say that it is software problem then i can help you. please comment soon.
ok my samsung galaxy stratosphere by verzson 4g lte is not being recognized by odin 4.38 as used in video but other versions do but they dontn support the one package option any suggestions? ps. my phone can be booted into dl mode with the 3 button combo what it says in dl mode>[odin mode] (product name sch-i405)(custom bynary download: yes {counts 1}(current binary: custom)
Firstly Sorry for late reply. You should probably try some other version. This post here has all the ODIN versions try it and please do reply whether it worked or not. http://www.itcse.com/2012/09/odin-multi-downloader-for-samsung-android-phones/
Dear, darren and andrew i have especially rewritten my trick to unbrick android phone for both of you. Kindly read the trick again and post comment if it helps.
I cannot get Odin to recognize the phone I’ve reinstalled the drivers, made sure it was running in admin mode and also that Odin is not running on any restrictions
Is your phone starting in downloading mode? Please tell the manufacturer and the model of your phone. I will provide all the help i can.
it is a Samsung Stratosphere and i was able to get it into download mode
also my computer detects the phone and i have made sure that i have the most up to date software available
are you connecting the phone after the phone is in downloading mode? if not, then please do it. The phone must be recognized by ODIN in order to be unbricked.
Borrow another PC and try on that. It should work since it worked for everyone else.
i am running windows 7 on my pc and i can tell that my computer can see that my phone is connecting i can get heimdall and zadig connect the problem i am getting is with odin i have deleted and reinstalled odin several times now from multiple sources but it still yields the same result
Try different ODIN version like v4.42. Try this version if that didn’t work either then try previous version.

sorry For late reply had some family issues to deal with. Hope to see your reply soon.
i followed the steps andd received a PASS.. however, it keeps on looping from the startup screen and the bootup screen? what should i do?
if you have recieved a pass then congrats you have successfully unbricked your android. Just do one thing on the phone in recovery mode (Press home+power button). Now perform wipe data/factory reset and then wipe cache partition. Now reboot your phone and it will open properly.
Please leave comment if you find any problem or if this solution helped you.
I have a Samsung Fascinate. I used your method but ODIN didn’t detect my phone. Downloaded all the new drivers for it aslo and my computer cant see the phone either. My phone is soft bricked I keep getting the Samsung loop.
Thanks
search for Samsung usb drivers for mobile phones on google. if your phone can’t be detected by your computer then it cannot be recovered. just search the software or install latest version of kies.
Is your phone in downloading mode? please reply i will help as much as i can

Is your device bricked or faulty? Make sure that there is no hardware problem in you phone. Your last option will be USB JIG method http://www.itcse.com/2012/08/usb-jig-method-to-unbrick-your-android-phone/
